Industrial Cadets

industrial cadetsInspired by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, the Industrial Cadets scheme enables young people to gain an insight into how businesses operate and how it draws direct links with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects in particular.

Our week long programme consisted of challenging team building activities, presentations from different aspects of the business, a company tour and hands on activities within various departments. During the week, our cadets collected information which culminated in an end of week presentation to parents, teachers, and those from Mazak that had contributed including senior management. The girls delivered an excellent presentation and can be seen collecting their graduation prizes in the below photograph.

We passionately believe that providing opportunities for young people to experience different aspects of working life within our organisation can assist them in determining what career path they may wish to follow.

In 2016, we also had to pleasure to welcome our first all-female Industrial Cadets group courtesy of RGS Worcester.
