Given the rapid growth of Mazak’s laser sales – with 2016 being a record year – the team has now expanded to create a third regional manager, who will assume responsibility for the Midlands region.

As such, Aaron will continue to be the main point of contact for Mazak Laser Sales in the South West of the country, however he will also now cover machine tool sales across the Bath, Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and Berkshire areas.

Aaron has worked for Mazak for over three years, having first joined the company’s Applications Engineering Department in May 2014, before joining the expanded Laser Sales team in September 2015. As a Mazak Applications Engineer, Aaron undertook a number of different customer-facing roles including machining demonstrations at exhibitions, as well as test cutting, programming and training support for new and existing Mazak customers.

He will find himself in familiar territory in his new role, not only given his time spent in Mazak’s Application Engineering Department, but also due to his earlier career working as a CNC machinist for ten years across a number of subcontractors within the South West. During this time, he garnered in-depth knowledge of a number of key industrial market sectors for Mazak customers, including aerospace, automotive, nuclear and energy.

Commenting on his new role, Aaron said: “The Mazak Laser Sales team has gone from strength to strength over the last two years, so much so that a new sales region has been created to meet the growing demand. Having lived and worked in the South West for much of my life, I’m very much looking forward to continuing to grow Mazak’s laser presence in the area, but to also showcase the vast productivity and efficiency benefits that customers can achieve through Mazak’s machine tool range.

“I’ve spent a large part of my career working on and with CNC machine tools, and experienced first-hand the varied and thriving subcontractor base located throughout the region. I’m excited for the dual responsibility my new role holds, and look forward to meeting many customers – both new and old – in the coming weeks.”
