Yamazaki Mazak will be showcasing its new INTEGREX i-200ST, complete with new CNC, at Southern Manufacturing 2016 (9-11 February).
Mazak is a regular attendee at the Farnborough-based exhibition, and has a track-record of exhibiting cutting-edge machine tool technology, ideally suited to the show’s core visitors in the subcontract manufacturing sector.
Mazak will be exhibiting its new INTEGREX i-200ST, the latest version of Mazak’s flagship INTEGREX i-series range, equipped with the new SmoothX CNC that delivers a dramatic a step-change in productivity. The advanced Multi-Tasking machine now boasts added bed-length for machining long complex workpieces, with the benefit of reduced interference between the turning and milling heads.
With the INTEGREX i-200ST, productivity is enhanced with the use of a 5,000rpm and 22kW main turning spindle and a second 5,000rpm, 18.5kW turning spindle, offering true DONE-IN-ONE capability. Complex workpieces, including those with 5-axis simultaneous requirements, can be machined by virtue of its fully contouring B-axis with 240o rotation, housing a high-power and high-torque 12,000rpm, 22kW milling spindle, able to cope with the most demanding of materials.
The INTEGREX – i-200ST will also feature Mazak’s latest CNC, which has been developed for 5-axis machining. SmoothX utilises a 19 inch ergonomic touchscreen and, in operation, can reduce the number of keystrokes required to enter a program by 38% compared to its predecessor. Cycle times are also dramatically reduced, through a combination of the latest generation high speed servo drive and motors package, which can achieve speeds of up to 540m/min, four times faster than its predecessor control.
Richard Smith, Managing Director UK & Ireland Sales Division at Yamazaki Mazak, commented: “The nation’s subcontract manufacturing base is the backbone of the UK’s wider manufacturing landscape, and Southern Manufacturing is one of the premier regional exhibitions supporting the UK’s subcontract engineering base.
“The INTEGREX i-200ST is ideally suited to the subcontracting market, offering best-in-class multi-tasking cutting to those who may not have large factory footprints. Southern Manufacturing will be one of the first opportunities to view our new machine in the UK, which features our revolutionary SmoothX CNC, and we’re looking forward to bringing these innovations to both existing and new customers at Southern Manufacturing.”
