Due to increased demand within the Service department, we now have a requirement for a CNC Machine Tool Breakdown Engineer to be based ideally, although not essential, in the South of the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-renowned, forward-thinking company that puts customers first.

The Role

The purpose and remit of the CNC Breakdown Engineer role:

  • Service and repair CNC Machines
  • Work to schedules to ensure customer demands are met
  • Provide the customer with a first-class service
  • Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety guidelines

The Candidate

The CNC Breakdown Engineer experience and qualifications required:

* Knowledge, servicing and repairs of CNC machine tools
* Mechanical bias but able to take on electrical tasks as required
* Ability to diagnose CNC faults using PLC
* Knowledge and understanding of servo systems. (Mitsubishi and Siemens an advantage)
* Highly motivated, proactive and innovative to help improve processes
* Ability to provide clear communication at all levels of the customer organisation
* Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining very high standards
* Strong problem solving skills
* Flexible approach to a varied workload
